Best Practices for a Great Chair Event

Communicate Your Break Time

  • If the event is labeled as walk-up and your break is not scheduled in the app, inform your Point of Contact (POC) before the event starts.

  • Do not wait for a slow period—it may never come!

Maintain Professionalism

  • Do not text or use your phone during the event (even between sessions).

  • Minimize chatting with clients both during and between sessions.

  • Do not solicit or accept tips—they are already included in your pay.

  • Do not hand out personal business cards.

Clean Up & Wrap Up

  • Thoroughly clean your treatment space when finished.

  • Before leaving, say goodbye to the POC or the person who greeted you.

Session Procedures

1️⃣ Check-in & Schedule Access

  • Once set up, check into the event in the Zeel Provider App.

  • Tap "See Schedule" to view appointment details.

  • You’ll see session times and the first name + last initial of scheduled clients (if using Zeel’s signup link).

2️⃣ Starting a Session

  • When a client sits down, tap their name in the app, then tap “Start.”

  • This starts the countdown timer, keeping you on schedule.

3️⃣ Handling No-Shows

  • If a client does not show up, tap their name, then select “No Show.”

4️⃣ Adjusting the Timer

  • The countdown timer can be manually adjusted using the - / + buttons, but it defaults to a pre-configured time to keep you on track.

🚨 IMPORTANT: Some events are employee-paid. Only scheduled employees should receive a massage—this ensures proper billing. Always confirm you are working on the correct person.

Creating a Great Experience

Even short 10-minute sessions are important to the recipient. Treat them with the same care as a 90-minute table massage by ensuring a personalized, therapeutic experience.

Before You Begin

  • Introduce yourself and conduct a quick intake:

    • Ask about pressure and focus preferences.

    • Ask if there are any areas to avoid.

During the Session

  • Check in mid-session about pressure.

  • Minimize conversation—most clients see this as a break and want to relax.

Break Guidelines

Providers are allowed:

  • 1 break for events lasting 3–5 hours.

  • 2 breaks for events lasting 5+ hours.

  • Break length = the length of a single session.

📌 Examples:

  • 4-hour event (15-min massages) → 1 x 15-min break.

  • 6-hour event (20-min massages) → 2 x 20-min breaks.

🔹 You can view your break times in the Appointment Details section of the app.
