Client, Peer, and Manager Relationships at Spas

You should always feel comfortable blending seamlessly into the spa’s team and environment—and if a spa partner has made this difficult for you in any way, please let us know! Here are the most important things to remember about maintaining positive relationships with everyone at a Zeel Spa partner spa.

  • Absolutely all questions, comments, and concerns about compensation should be discussed with Zeel, not with spa management or other therapists on site.

  • Be a team player and always rise above gossip and negativity.

  • Always reset, restock, and tidy your treatment room prior to departure. Leave it better than you found it.

  • Don’t discuss Zeel with guests or other therapists. The ultimate goal is for you to blend seamlessly into the existing team, culture, and environment of the spa.

How to handle questions about your employment relationship with the spa

  • How long have you worked here? I started earlier this year, but have been a massage therapist for "X" years. How has your stay / experience been?

  • What are your regular days / when do you work again / how do I request you again? I work a flexible schedule. If you would like to schedule with me again, please let the front desk know and they will arrange it for you.

  • Where else do you work? I actually work here as much as possible. How often do you visit?

  • Do you take private clients? Can I give you my contact information for a private massage? I’m so happy you liked the massage, but I am committed to this spa. If you would like to book with me again, please let the front desk know.

  • Another therapist asks you "How did you get this gig? Where did you come from? Who called you? How much are you getting paid?" My name is ____. I just came to help out. If you have further questions, you can ask your manager.
