During the Session

The session length is considered hands-on time. That means a 60-minute appointment includes 60 minutes of work on the client—not 10 minutes of setup and 50 minutes of hands-on work.

Clients expect to receive the modality that they booked, which you can find in the appointment details: Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, or Zeel’s signature sleep massage.

Check with the client at least two times (supine and prone) during the session to make sure they’re happy with the pressure level, temperature of the room, and are generally comfortable.

Avoid touching your phone during a session!

Draping

Always practice modest and professional draping.

  • Draping reaffirms your professionalism and allows the client to feel at ease and comfortable. Only the part of the body being worked on should be exposed.

  • Err on the side of modesty and make sure the client feels the boundaries of the sheet. Ask for a towel or blanket to weigh down the sheet if necessary.

  • Clients are instructed to provide their own linens, but it’s a good practice for you to have a clean set of linens with you, in case the client isn’t prepared.

Extensions

If the client requests an extension and you are available to spend extra time with him or her, you can add extensions in 15- or 30-minute increments. If the client asks for an extension, please clarify that adding time to the session will incur additional charges.

Do not add on time without informing the client, and remember that all extensions must be made through the app. Accepting cash for an off-platform session extension will jeopardize your relationship with Zeel.
