Office-Based Medical Massage for VA Patients

As part of Zeel’s medical massage program, some out-of-home facilities are now available for treating Veterans in select locations. These professional treatment environments offer flexibility for both the therapist and patient when in-home massage isn’t the right fit.

How Office-Based VA Appointments Work

  • These appointments can be booked just like in-home sessions on the Zeel platform.

  • They are protected by Zeel’s Trust & Safety and Provider Support teams.

  • Availability: Office-based massage is currently offered only to VA healthcare subscribers in select locations—not to the general public.

Facility Requirements for Office-Based Appointments

Zeel is committed to ensuring a safe, accessible, and professional treatment environment for both patients and providers. Facilities must meet the following requirements:

Patient Comfort & Accessibility

  • Well-ventilated, temperature-controlled treatment rooms and waiting areas.

  • Adequate dressing rooms, personal storage, and restroom facilities.

  • Fully wheelchair accessible, including restrooms (ADA-compliant).

Regulatory Compliance

  • Adherence to all local and state:

    • Fire codes

    • Health & sanitation regulations

    • Building codes

    • Facility management policies

  • Business licenses must be appropriately displayed.

Hygiene & Sanitation Standards

  • Sanitation policy must include:

    • Cleaning equipment between patients

    • Proper laundering & storage of linens

    • Daily trash removal

    • Pest control procedures

Non-Discrimination Policy

  • The facility must adhere to a non-discrimination policy for patients and providers.

Using Your Own Office or Treatment Space

  • If you are credentialed for medical massage and have a healthcare office, studio, or spa, you may be able to take Zeel appointments at your location.

  • Contact Provider Support via in-app chat or email help@zeel.com to learn more.

Already Rostered for Office-Based Appointments?

  • VA care teams, not Zeel, assign office-based referrals directly to therapists.

  • If you receive an in-office appointment or patient you cannot commit to, notify Zeel immediately so the referral can be reassigned.
