Spa Best Practices
Grooming and Dress
As soon as you step foot in the spa, you become part of the spa team, so it’s important to maintain a polished and professional appearance.
The spa may have a uniform they’ll supply to you, but you’ll make a sharp impression by arriving in simple, all-black spa attire, such as a collared polo shirt, spa smock, or tunic; black slacks; and flat, closed-toed shoes.
Check the appointment details in the app for specific dress codes for each spa location.
Long hair should be restrained with a simple hairband
Nails trimmed and filed
No perfume or cologne; minimal or no makeup
Minimal, non-dangling jewelry
Arrival
If specified in advance, use the employee entrance when arriving and leaving. Do not walk through guest areas or spa reception area if avoidable
Avoid bringing large bags or backpacks to the spa, as there may not be sufficient storage available
Silence your cell phone upon entering the spa
Familiarize yourself with spa amenities, so you’re fully informed if a client asks about them
Departure
Please do not leave the premises at all during a spa block. There may be a last-minute or walk-in appointment or other unforeseen scheduling need. If possible, remain in staff lounge areas when not on a treatment.
Before leaving for the day, always ask the manager on duty if there is anything else you can help with and invite them to look at your treatment room.
