What to Do if a Client Behaves Inappropriately

Zeel supports your decision to leave any appointment for any reason. If a client behaves inappropriately, end the session, leave the location, and then contact Zeel. All feedback is kept confidential. The most important thing is the safety of the providers in our network.

If a Client Behaves Inappropriately

  1. At the first sign of odd or suspicious behavior or comment, break contact. This sends the message that you are aware that something is off. Try checking in with the client first in case it is simply a comfort issue. If the behavior continues or escalates, let the client know you are not comfortable with the specific behavior and ask them to stop.

  2. If the inappropriate behavior doesn’t stop, take your hands off the guest, and cover them. If you are in a spa, turn the lights up and place their robe within reach. Politely tell the client the session is over and leave the room.

    • If you are in a client’s home, collect your things and leave the premises. Then report the incident to Zeel.

    • If you are at a spa, immediately report the incident to the spa manager or the manager on duty. Then report the incident to Zeel.

Threats, threatening behavior, acts of sexual misconduct, conversation or and behavior that suggests sexual activity by providers, clients, or other persons will not be tolerated.

What Happens After You Submit a Report to Zeel

Immediately after you contact Zeel, the matter will be escalated to our Trust & Safety team, who will conduct a thorough investigation. This may include conducting phone and/or in-person interviews, engaging legal counsel, cooperating with the proper authorities, and potentially reporting the incident to insurance carriers (if relevant). The safety and security of the providers on the Zeel network is our top priority.
